Going for the spittle-flecked piece of crap vote.
One wonders at how these people
even get out of bed in the morning.
“Christian convictions are under attack as never before,” [future Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee] said in the call, which was meant to rally pastors to participate in the [Family Research Council]'s upcoming “Stand for Marriage” event. “Not just in our lifetime, but ever before in the history of this great nation. We are moving rapidly towards the criminalization of Christianity.”
You know, if your version of Christianity is under any danger of being criminalized by the deeply Jesus-y American government, I am fairly certain you are doing it wrong. It is true, we have over the years adjusted the rules now and then. You can't hang darker-skinned people because you say God Himself made you the better race. You can't light a synagogue on fire because you say the people inside are not properly Jesusing and that your town doesn't have to put up with such undesirables. In some states you now can't even attach electrical wires to gay people to try to kill the demon spirits that you say lie within them—or you are still allowed to, but it is now sometimes frowned upon. Life is full of hardships, if your version of Christianity hearkens back to the days when people were being burned for witchcraft and you haven't quite gotten it out of your system yet.
Presuming that being allowed to kill or maim or otherwise actively punish nearby citizens for not Jesusing the way you yourself Jesus is not the sort of thing we are talking about, however, it would seem you have little to worry about.
The former governor and likely GOP presidential candidate predicted that the government will bring “criminal charges” against those who oppose gay rights and pastors who preach against gay marriage.
Ah, I see. You have no actual point, you are merely an spittle-flecked idiot doing his best to appeal to the delusional anti-gay conspiracy theories of a
hate group. Carry on then, mister supposed presidential contender.
